EXECUTIVE PROFILE – Brad Neet

Executive Profile

Ihave had the privilege of living in multiple states throughout my career; Indiana, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. After two years in SoCal I understand why people don’t leave! The stress of moving was hard on my children but meeting different people through out the country and seeing the various differences in health care from large multi hospital systems to stand alone hospitals; not for profit versus for profit provided a variety of experiences to gain insight into health care operations and leadership. Being involved in the community is an important part of who I am and what I believe in. The community is only as good as the individuals who make up the population. We have a choice to stand on the sidelines and judge or get in the game and make a difference….one relationship at a time.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY:

Throughout my career I have always believed that in order to lead, one must be willing to follow and serve. Culture is the fabric that drives organizational success and I continually work on this aspect for the staff to create an organization that is the best place to work and receive care.
Affiliations: Board Member, United Way of the Inland Valleys, Member of Southwest Legislative Council, Board Member Murrieta Chamber of Commerce

GOALS:
My goals in life are to provide a positive example of life, love, joy, and contentment for those around me. My legacy is my children and the importance of ensuring I provide unconditional love and a positive outlook regardless of our life journey.

INDUSTRY & ACCOLADES:
The Nebraska Hospital Association and Wisconsin Hospital Association awarded me the Grassroots Advocacy Award for work in political advocacy.

Mentors:
My mother was a nurse her entire career and has always provided me with unconditional love during joyful and sad moments in life. She provided me with the ability to live in the moment and understand that you cannot change the past, only affecting the future by today’s performance. I make a point to call every week day so that we can share life together.

FAVORITE READING: I enjoy great thrillers including the characters of Jack Reacher, The Gray Man, Mitch Rapp, Joe Pickett, Alex Hawke, Will Robie, and Scot Harvath. Another book that I would recommend reading every year is the War of Art by Steven Pressfield.

FAVORITE SPORT:
I grew up playing several sports including track and field, football and basketball. As I grew older I was able to learn to snow ski and play golf…both not very well!

RESUME:
I have been in health care for over 25 years beginning as a Nursing Assistant. I received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University and obtained experience in oncology, emergency care, trauma and surgical intensive care. I have also held several management positions including Director of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and CEO. I went on to obtain my Masters in Business Administration while living in Houston, TX. I now serve as the CEO of Southwest Healthcare System operating Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Medical Center.
