Esther Phahla has been elected Toastmasters International District 12 Lieutenant Governor, Marketing for 2013-2014 at the Spring Conference at Pechanga Resort & Casino. Phahla is a CPA and Certified Tax Coach (CTC) in Temecula specializing in tax planning and tax preparation services for small businesses.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. “In Toastmasters you learn by doing. I went from being extremely shy to being a business owner and attending networking events. I still get nervous when I give a speech but I know that I am in a supportive, fun and friendly environment to help me grow. It’s a safe place to fail”, she said.
Toastmasters District 12 serves approximately 100 clubs throughout Riverside and San Bernadino Counties. Guests are always welcome.
