On April 11th, Andy Domenigoni and Kelly Buffa of Domenigoni-Barton Properties, LLC, proudly introduced The Triangle, billed as the most exciting mixed-use property in Southwest California. Located at the confluence of the I-15 – I-215, The Triangle offers one of the highest visibility locations in the region seen by thousands of residents, commuters and visitors every day.
The Triangle comprises approximately 64.3 acres and will play host to approximately 1.7 million square feet of mixed uses for the region. As envisioned by the developer, The Triangle will combine a vibrant blend of shops, restaurants, entertainment, hospitality and office space – an ideal location to combine shop, work, play and stay unique to the area. The Triangle will feature contemporary upscale architecture, rich landscaping, art displays, shaded pedestrian connections in an open-air mall and settings for community events all in what is planned to be a LEEDS (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) certified cohesive design.
According to Domenigoni, “The Triangle will be designed in a way to attract visitors and then provide a fun, memorable experience people will want to enjoy over and over again. The Triangle will be the ,most visible and unique feature of our region and will become a focal point and destination for locals and visitors alike.”
The perimeter of The Triangle will be home to a 4 story hotel and, assuming variances can be obtained, a 12 story and an 18 story office building along with parking garages and several smaller mixed-use pads. The core area will showcase the open-air pedestrian mall, upscale shopping, entertainment venues, imaginative water features and a variety of food destinations from multi-cultural cuisine to farm-to-table restaurants, specialty food purveyors and a good old-fashioned hamburger place.
“The Triangle will spark one’s senses by offering a prime experience from day to night for individuals, families and friends,” says Buffa. “We believe it will become the new benchmark for Southern California retail destinations.”
The Triangle plan is scheduled to go before the Murrieta Planning Commission in the not too distant future followed by a full hearing before the City Council for full entitlement. Financing and phased construction are anticipated to begin within 12 months. For more information, anticipated timeframes and leasing data, please visit www.shop-the-triangle.com
